I am 26 years old, and have been a Knoxville, TN resident since 2013. When I was 13, I learned a special and unique way to make the best taco shells you have ever had the pleasure of tasting. Since I have been in Knoxville, I have yet to taste a tortilla that is similar to mine. It occurred to me that this was the perfect opportunity to share my secret with the people of East Tennessee.
About CJ’s Tacos
CJ’s Tacos services it’s customers from a canopy tent and custom food truck. We can be found at events such as fairs, festivals, parties and events we cater. What keeps our customers coming back? It’s simple, the unique way we prepare our tortillas! At CJ’s Tacos, we use nothing but gluten-free white or yellow corn tortillas. We prepare them by pan-frying the shells in about a half inch of corn oil until they get a nice golden crust. This makes a crisp outer layer, while still retaining softness when you bite into it. The taco will never break or crumble on you like the standard hard shell taco. We like to say our shells are the perfect middle ground between hard and soft shell. The absolute best of both worlds!

Not only do we have the best taco shells around, we also have the freshest ingredients in town! CJ’s Tacos has an arrangement with the Fresh Market in Knoxville. All of our meat is choice grade, provided locally. We feel that staying local and fresh is more important than making more profits! We also hand cut all of our fresh vegetables daily.
